Jung Nyum

Jung Nyum is the pattern required of a Green Belt grade in order to progress to Blue Tag.

This pattern is the 4th of the 8 Pal Jung Do Poomse.

Jung Nyum's breathing form is the archer (similar to Jung Shin). This breathing form starts by moving the left leg to the chung bi stance. During the breathing form create a fist with the thumb inside the fist touching the middle finger.

Jung Nyum

  1. Turn to left. Left back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  2. Adjusting your back (right) leg into a forward stance, inner mid-section palm block (left arm).
  3. Right leg front kick into right forward stance, supported mid-section spear finger strike (right arm).
  4. Bring right foot back to left, turn 90 degrees to right. Right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  5. Pull right foot back into cat stance, inner mid-section palm block (right arm).
  6. Right leg front kick into right forward stance, supported mid-section spear finger strike (right arm).
  7. Bring right foot back to left, turn 90 degrees to right. Right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  8. Adjusting your back (left) leg into a forward stance, inner mid-section palm block (right arm).
  9. Left leg front kick into right forward stance, supported mid-section spear finger strike (left arm).
  10. Bring left foot back to right, turn 90 degrees to left. Left back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  11. Adjust front (left) leg into forward stance reach with right arm as if grabbing around the back of opponents head.
  12. Right knee, left front kick. Put left down in front, bring right foot to left, turn 90 degree to right. Right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  13. Pull right foot back into cat stance, inner mid-section palm block (right arm).
  14. Right leg front kick into right forward stance, supported mid-section spear finger strike (right arm).
  15. Bring right foot back to left, turn 90 degrees to left. Left back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  16. Right leg turning kick and SHOUT! Turn 270 degree to left. Left back stance knife hand guarding block.
  17. Adjust front (left) foot into left forward stance, grab opponents head with both hands.
  18. Right knee into right forward stance, twin hammer fist to kidneys.
  19. Bring right foot back to left, turn 180 degrees to right. Right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  20. Adjust front (right) foot into right forward stance, grab opponents head with both hands.
  21. Left knee into left forward stance, twin hammer fist to kidneys.
  22. Bring left foot back to right, turn 90 degrees to left. Left back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  23. Adjust front (left) leg into forward stance reach with right arm as if grabbing around the back of opponents head.
  24. Right knee, left front kick, right turning kick, right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  25. Turn 270 degrees to left. Left back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  26. Right leg front kick into right forward stance, target ridge hand strike (right arm).
  27. Bring right foot back to left, turn 180 degrees to right. Right back stance, knife hand guarding block.
  28. Left leg front kick into left forward stance, target ridge hand strike (left arm).
  29. Bring left foot back to right, turn 90 degrees to left. Left back stance, guarding block, adjust front (left) leg into left forward stance, reverse inner knife hand strike (right arm).
