EE Jang

The following is a written version of Ee Jang the second of the Taeguek Poomse. The techniques are also written in Korean in brackets adjacent.

This poomse is for yellow belts (8th Kup) students in order to obtain their yellow belt green tag (7th Kup).

From ready stance (junbiseogi):

  1. Move the left foot to the left into a left walking stance (wen apseogi) and execute a left low section block (araemakki).
  2. Step forward with the right foot into a right forward stance (oreun apkubi) and execute a right mid section punch (momtong bandaejireugi).
  3. Moving the right foot, turn 180 degrees clockwise into a right walking (oreun apseogi) stance and execute a right low section block (areamakki).
  4. Step forward with the left foot into a left forward stance (wen apkubi) and execute a left mid section punch (momtong bandaejireugi).
  5. Moving the left foot, step 90 degrees to the left into a left walking stance (wen apseogi) and execute a reverse, right arm, inner mid section block (momtong anmakki).
  6. Step forward with the right foot into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi) and execute a reverse, left arm, inner mid section block (momtong anmakki).
  7. Moving the left foot, step 90 degrees to the left into a left walking strance (wen apseogi) and execute a left low section block (araemakki).
  8. Execute a right front kick (oreunbal apchagi). Set the right foot down into a right forward stance (oreun apkubi), execute a right high section punch (olgul bandaejireugi).
  9. Moving the right foot turn 180 degrees clockwise into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi) and and execute a right low section block (araemakki).
  10. Execute a left front kick (wenbal apchagi). Set the left foot down into a left forward stance (wen apkubi), execute a left high section punch (olgul bandaejireugi).
  11. Moving the left foot, step 90 degrees to the left into a left walking stance (wen apseogi) and execute a left high section block (olgulmakki).
  12. Step forward with the right foot into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi) and execute a right high section block (olgulmakki).
  13. Moving the left foot, turn 270 degree counter clockwise into a left walking stance (wen apseogi) and execute a reverse, left arm, inner mid section block (momtong anmakki).
  14. Sliding the right foot slightly to the right, pivot 180 into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi) and execute a reverse, right arm, inner mid section block (momtong an makki).
  15. Moving the left foot, turn 90 degrees to the left into a left walking stance (wen apseogi) and execute a left low section block (araemakki).
  16. Execute a right front kick (oreunbal apchagi). Set the right foot down into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi), execute a right mid section punch (momtong bandaejireugi).
  17. Execute a left front kick (wenbal apchagi). Set the left foot down into a left walking stance (wen apseogi), execute a left mid section punch (momtong bandaejireugi).
  18. Execute a right front kick (oreunbal apchagi). Set the right foot down into a right walking stance (oreun apseogi), execute a right mid section punch (momtong bandaejireugi) with Kihap.

Moving the left foot, turn 180 degrees counter clockwise returning to the ready stance (junbiseogi).
