Travel day
We left Sacramento at 9 am. We were very lucky that the impending BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) strike was held off . The drive went smoothly with very little traffic until we got near the Bay Bridge. We arrived at SFO close to 11 am. The weather was clear and beautiful. Check in wasn't too bad, then it was through security and on to the gate. We boarded on time and took off shortly after everyone was onboard.

Shortly after takeoff we flew directly across from the Point Reyes Peninsula, which provided a stunning view of the area's coast line.
We were chasing the sun during the entire flight, so after we were served lunch everyone shut the window shades. Most everyone, including myself took naps to pass the hours away. We crossed the international date line sometime during the nap, so on to the next day.
