As a shepherd holds a lamb with compassion,

So does Jesus wrap his arms around us all,

Then calls to us in word and action bold,

Care for all, for there is just one fold,

As we look upon the world with compassion,

So does God wrap loving arms around us all,

Calls us to guard creation’s sacred store,

Turn and pledge to pillage the earth no more,
