My sophomore year began in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, my group and I were asked to thank any group for their services. We decided upon medical workers in our township. We painted colorful signs and wrote letters to those who put their lives at risk to keep us safe. This project was very gratifying as it was us taking action. Even a simple ‘thank you’ to a person goes a long way. During the pandemic, there were a ton of uncertainties, but medical workers persevered and continue to fight against the ongoing pandemic.

This project allowed for my group and I to communicate our ideas and take action. We used our different social media platforms to allow others to write messages to medical workers. We also used them to show our appreciation of all those working to help end the pandemic. This project allowed me to take a step back from the chaos that was happening in the world and give heart-felt thank you’s and my appreciation to those who were truly making a difference.
