A newly opened tilapia lake, which is fairly small and has quite a few thais trying to catch a fish supper! Lake caught tilapia tastes a lot better than that purchased from the local market/supermarket.
Quite a friendly place, but getting quite popular with the locals. Catching tilapia is quite a skill and takes good techinque and an ability to strike at the right time with fickle bites. Highly satisfying when you catch one though.
The location is a behind a restaurant which I believe is also owned by the same people as the lake. Good food and Thai beers served to your peg should you choose. I did an evening session from 4-8.30pm which was just right. Some people were float fishing, but I saw best results fishing worms on the hook with a small feeder of bread on the bottom.
You see some interesting fishing techinques at these tilapia lakes; 2 foot long nets attached to the feeder that the fish get caught up in, or 3 different hooks going from the same feeder with 3 worms in an attempt to hook or foul hook the fish.
