Not to be confused with the lower Sukhumvit attraction, Nana is a regular pair of Thai lakes that are quite popular with the regular Thai fisherman. I found these lakes on Google maps and was pleasantly surprised when I fished there. The small species lake is nice to look at and has a great variety of species. It must also be noted that the tilapia I have caught there are among the most delicious I have had from my fishing trips.

The people here are very friendly and there is a small shop selling tackle, drinks and ice creams. There isn't a restaurant but there are plenty of food options within a 2-3 minute walk of the lake. This is a great spot for a leisurely morning or afternoon session of around 4-5 hours.

At 40 baht the fishing is very cheap but you do have to pay for any fish you want to take home (around 55-60 baht per kilo). The usual tilapia methods of a light float and bread on a small hook work well. Likewise, on the bigger lake a slightly stronger rod and line are needed and most people tend to fish on the bottom with bread or ram. For a more predatory fish on the bigger lake chicken heart is the go to bait.
