This is the second of three lakes at Bung Pla Buk, the others being the Mekong lake in my other listing and there is also a predator lake I haven't fished yet.

The carp lake is about half the size of the main Mekong catfish lake, but in many ways twice the excitement. You often get the lake to yourself in the morning and can have quite a few fish in just 2-3 hours.

Despite it mainly being a Siamese carp lake it also has rohu, pacu and redtail as well. Although most people go for the Mekong catfish lake, I think the carp lake is worth a trip in itself. I'm yet to find another lake that beats this one for carp fishing in Thailand.

Most of the fish are around the 20lb mark going up to a reported 80lbs. Fishing on the bottom with bread flake on a light feeder and sliced bread on the hook works well.
