One of the best fisheries in Thailand if you're going for the big Mekong catfish. A very nice place to be with nice lakes, friendly staff and great fishing. Worth going for two days or more if you can.

I caught my personal best Mekong catfish here at an estimated genuine 100kg (220lbs) which measure 215cm long (7 feet). The first picture at the top. A very large fish. The second and third pictures are two other fish I caught the day which were marginally smaller.

Ranks as one of the favourites for most people I know. This is because of the nice lakes, great atmosphere and the opportunity to catch a 100kg Mekong Catfish. Overall, it's a treat to fish at Bung Pla Buk.
