Data analysis

Statemant 1. All graphs show the 2nd pandemic wave peaks in the middle of October.

Discussion: The time of the peaks is around day 80 from July 21 (the start of the graphs), i.e., 2-3 weeks after the start of the academic year.

Statemant 2. All graphs show that England lockdown measures work. Moreover, the table of scaled 6-day of moving averages reinforces both statements.

Statemant 3. The England entry (column 10) for November 26 - 28 shows the decrease of cases by nearly 40% with respect to the threshold (middle of November). (see the table below "Scaled 6-day moving averages of daily cases").

The England and its regions had the R number/EPI peak on the same date, i.e., the 8th of October. At the end of November, a random spike is observed in 3 English regions: East England (red line on a graph), London (yellow) and South East (purple).
