Notation: EPI -Epidemic Index; ERI - Epidemic Risk Index.

1 April - 17 May 2021

The positive trend continues. EPI <1 for the last week. As a result, ERI is decreasing. Pandemic trend: downward. The pandemic is at a decelerating stage., i.e. moving in a right direction.

23 March - 12 May 2021

On 11 May, EPI became < 1 since the start of the second wave. Positive trend. The Risk ERI is starting to decrease. The pandemic wave has reached its peak and starting to move downward.

23 March - 5 May 2021

The pandemic surge continues. EPI is still above 1 but decreasing. Infection is spreading at a slower rate.

23 March - 21 April 2021

The pandemic continues to surge. The Risk number ERI is rocketing. Second wave is in full swing!

1 March - 9 April 2021

Since 24 March the pandemic is in a red/danger/high risk zone. The pandemic continues to spread.

1 January - 16 March 2021

There are signs of the pandemic surging again. it is the start of the 2nd wave? Since 17 February, EPI >1. It means the pandemic is spreading. The risk index ERI < 1 but increasing.

10 November 2020 - 08 January 2021

EPI < 1. ERI < 1 and continues to decrease. The pandemic is slowing down and, moreover, it is in a safe/green zone

1 November - 31 December 2020

The pandemic is in a low risk zone.

21 July - 8 December 2020

The pandemic is slowing down. Moreover, since the 4th of December it's in a safe zone, because both parameters, EPI and ERI, are below 1.

1 October - 4 December 2020

On the 4th of December the Risk Index ERI=0.98<1. For the first time since the start of the pandemic both parameters, EPI and ERI, <1 (low risk zone).

21 July - 17 November 2020

The pandemic is slowing down. EPI < 1. ERI is decreasing and approaching 1.

21 July - 16 October 2020

The pandemic in India continues to demonstrate signs of decline. EPI (R number) < 1. ERI (risk number) is still >1 but decreasing. The pandemic is moving in a right direction.

There are signs of the pandemic slowing down in India. Hopefully, the trend will continue.
