United Kingdom
EPI & ERI-type graphs
Below are EPI and ERI-type graphs, i.e., graphs computed via different data sets: daily hospital occupancy, daily hospital admissions, daily MV (mechanical ventilation) beds occupancy, and daily deaths/mortality. The UK EPI & ERI graphs (via daily cases) are available here.
Data source: UK government website at coronavirus.data.gov.uk
Notation: EPI - Epidemic Index; ERI - Epidemic Risk Index
1 January - 31 March 2022
1 January - 15 March 2022
EPI via all data sets are increasing. EPI via daily Covid19 cases and hospital occupancy >1. ERI via daily cases is going up and >1.
1 January - 11 February 2022
EPI < 1 for all 4 data sets. Risk numbers ERI continue to decrease. ERI via daily MV beds occupancy and daily deaths remain < 1.
20 December 2021 - 31 January 2022
All EPI < 1. Risk numbers ERI via daily MV beds occupancy and daily deaths < 1. ERI via daily cases and daily hospital occupancy > 1 but decreasing. The pandemic is shrinking.
1 November 2021 - 19 January 2022
1 May 2020 - 19 January 2022
Three graphs below show surprising similarity of EPIs computed via three different data sets.
