GSC Interest Groups
A quick guide to some of the interest groups we have meeting each month -

Interest groups provide an opportunity to catch up with like-minded family history researchers who share information and ideas - tips and tricks to finding information in archives, libraries and online. You may even find families and places in common with your own research - so come along, have a cuppa and a chat and see what you can discover.

Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month; Cost: $2.00
Are you one of the 9.5% of Australians who have Irish ancestors? This group will help you to discover their own unique stories, interpret the many records available while exploring Irish history to put your finds into context.
Some months there is a special focus on a particular County, filled with interesting facts and discoveries from free websites! Some months we have a brief venture into the folklore and customs celebrated in Ireland or a bit of fun with Gaelic pronunciation; this year we will learn the names of the months.

Jan, Virginia and others will help you with RootsMagic, FamilySearch, Findmypast, My Heritage and Ancestry family trees and software. Bring your questions, passwords and files on your laptop or borrow ours and bring a USB.
