GSC Schools on the Sunshine Coast
School records contain much valuable information about the history of local communities. They are often the only record for families who might have been in our region for only a short time, but their children are recorded as attending school and their parents names can be mentioned in the school rolls.
Genealogy Sunshine Coast volunteers have indexed many of the local school histories and registers and have scanned many photographs of school classes and events.
If you have original school photographs, we would love to be able to scan them for you at high resolution so a detailed record can be preserved for the future. For so many people, this is a rare opportunity to see their grandparents and great grandparents as young children. Come and talk to us if you have information to share.. the more of us who share images, the more chance we have of identifying the pupils and teachers from our history.
