Alice

Alice Morrison b. May 3, 1855 d. October 20, 1936 Buried at Fish Creek Cemetery, Saline County, Missouri. *Agnes Cott, who knew Alice, presented me with Miss Alice's ridding hat. The hat appears to be small and is black in color. The hat is neatly cared for in a box from "Dobbs-Fifth Avenue, New York." Agnes said Alice loved to ride horses and always rode on a sidesaddle. Alice was also quite active in the Fish Creek Church.


*Agnes Cott lived in Miami, MO and grew up in the Fish Creek Neighborhood. She was very interesting source of information as she shared with me one afternoon. Agnes is buried in the Fish Creek Cemetery.


Census 1880 had Alice living with the Wilhites' in Saline County, MO. (Sister Mary)

Census 1900 had Alice living with the Willhite's in Saline County MO along with her mother Catherine.

Census 1910 had Alice living in Harris, TX with her brother.

Census 1920 Had Alice living in Harris, TX with her brother William P

Census 1930 Had Alice living in Odessa, MO with Emma Morrison Stanfield & Edda Morrison.

Died in Marshall, MO October 20, 1936. Cause was fractured right femur & pulmonary stenosis. Fracture occurred at home in Gilliam, MO from a fall. John A Morrison was the informant. MO Death Certificate #40008
