Census 1910 had him living on Pine Street in Holden MO with his parents and family.

Census 1920 had Earl living in Kingsville, Johnson County, MO with his parents and brothers and sisters.

Census 1930 had him living at 4822 Charlotte St, Kansas City, MO listed as a roomer. His Occupation was a clerk.

Census 1940 had Earl and family living in Washington, Lafayette County MO. His Occupation was "stock clerk" (Sears). He owned his home and made $1200 a year. He had a 4 year high school education.

Registered for WWI on September 12, 1918. (#1114 - 1517) It appears he wnet with his brother George Crabtree. Also an Amos Crabtree and Thomas Crabtree. All registered on the same date and place (Warrensburg, MO).

Funeral services were held at the Odessa First Baptist Church, led by Rev. Gibson of the church. Masonic Services at the grave side were led by Louis Heidbrink Jr. Mr. Richard Crews sang "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and Mr. Wesley Johnson sang "Rock of Ages." Pallbearers were Joe Ludlam, Edwin Jacobson, Francis Gibbs, Cameron Morrison, Ralph Ferguson, and Charles Coffman.
