Resumo: Fazemos aqui uma comparação entre as consequências e extrapolações não científicas da genética e da antiga astrologia e analisamos as semelhanças segundo a visão espírita, apontando as causas subjacentes. Interessantemente, ainda que estejam distantes no tempo, essas duas doutrinas compartilham a propriedade comum de limitar ou restringir o livre arbítrio, de forma que estão em profundo desacordo com a visão espiritualista para a qual o livre arbítrio é uma propriedade inerente do ser.
Abstract: We make a comparison between the consequences and non scientific extrapolations of genetics and ancient astrology and analyse their commonalities according to the spiritist point of view by the identification of the underlying causes. Interestingly enough, although both doctrines are distant in time, both share the property of limiting or restricting free will so that they are both in deep disagreement with the spiritualist view of the human being for which free will is a fundamental property of that being.
