New executive board member Robin Parsons - WELCOME!


Dionne Trust Grant Update:


$3000 is award and 1/2 will be used toward art programs. Katie is looking for ideas on how to allocate the funding


Looking to thank the trust trust for the grant at the next large event


The Maine Arts Commission may possibly match donations


VPA Boosters Calendar is updated on the KHS website along with booster membership forms and amazon smile link

VOTE: To approve 4-$750 scholarships - APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY


The scholarship committee will include Emma Hauser, Robin Parsons, Lisa Crimp and Denise Hammond


Scholarship committee will get up to date on policies for the selection process


Coffee house fund raiser for Doctors Without Boarders which included recorded virtual performances by student from KHS raised $280


Drama Update:

  • Student directed one act play will take place April 9, 10, & 11th, which will be live-streamed if status remains green

  • Spring musical will be Triumph of Love which includes a 7 person cast and may be able to be performed outside

  • Looking for support for the International Thespian Society membership fees. Denis to fill out the required funding request form and submit for review



Band Update:

  • Acknowledgement for successfully achieving the approval to be allowed to play music indoors.

  • Close to finishing the first piece of the year

  • Hoping to be able to have an outdoor concert

  • 9 Inductees are being awarded to the Tri-M Musical Honor Society

  • Tri-M ceremony will be held virtually


Received 2 high level cameras and channel changing for live streaming


Chorus Update:


  • New Ukulele program is a success among the students.


Art Update:


  • Great opportunity to have had support from the boosters that paid for the art show

  • Pushing out Youth Art Month in March

    • Includes a slide show where every art student will be submitting a piece of art

  • Jenn Hass is the person working on communications to ensure communications will be published



Thinking about long range plans with respects to fund raising
