Latest News and Information

The Normandeau Draw has come to a close. It has been quite a close contest. Eight teams were in the running going into the last week.  In the semifinals both games were tied after 6 ends which necessitated a draw to the button for both games. Team Rowland drew  to 33.5 inches  but team Coutts was slightly outside the good line and their draw never really curled in towards the center. On sheet one team Langdon drew to an intimidating 5.5 inches over team Rainbow which sealed the deal, leaving Team Langdon facing Team Rowland in the finals.  The game was very close through 5 ends. Derek Halbert made a pretty shot in the 4th end for team Langdon that brought the assembled spectators to their feet.  However Team Rowland prevailed through 6 and 7 to cap their victory.  Congratulations to Team Rowland. By the way Claude Turmel was injured during the last game of the season but was able to sit in the gallery and see his team bring home the victory.

We had over 25 spectators for the final game and the hotdogs , chips and Fred Albert's famous coleslaw were well appreciated. Thanks for everyone's help in putting on this get together.
