Format Text

Clicking on Format Text in the Edit ribbon command bar opens a new window which enables text to be formatted.

Paste the text to be formatted into the Enter source text field.

The text will automatically be copied to the Formatted text field and the text will be formatted according to the options selected.

Text lengths will also be shown. These include newline characters.

Select the options towards the bottom of the window to change the characters displayed and the formatting.

Formatting Options

A-Z - Selects letters from the source text, both upper and lowercase.

0-9 - Selects numbers from the source text.

Punctuation - Includes punctuation (_"':;%&*!@#.,?) in the formatted text.

Spaces and Tabs - Includes all spaces and tab characters in the formatted text.

Newlines - Includes newline characters in the formatted text.

UPPERCASE - Capitalizes all of the letters.

lowercase - Converts all letters to uppercase.

Sentence case - Capitalizes the first letter of a sentence and leave all other letters as lowercase.

Capitalize Each Word - Capitalizes the first letter of each word and converts the other letters to lowercase.

Reverse - Reverses the source text.

Show in groups of - Groups the formatted text into the number of characters selected. The range is 1 - 20 characters.


Buttons

Copy text - Copies the formatted text into the clipboard.

Close - Closes the window.
