Chengdu is the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province. Chengdu's history dates back to at least the 4th century B.C., when it served as capital for the Shu Kingdom. Artifacts from that dynasty are the focus of the Jinsha Site Museum. The city is also home to the famous Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a conservation center where visitors can view endangered giant pandas in a natural habitat. About the Everest via Gokyo Lakes Trek

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd5e3Y8r4f0IunDi41UAJzKTx5FIvKh1b

I am adjusting to the high altitude heading to Everest Base Camp by day 9 and flying back to Kathmandu on

December 21. I flew to the most dangerous airport Lutka and starting my 3rd day trekking the mountains. Watch video to see my experience

https://youtu.be/A1CqmbKmGs4

This was my 2nd day journey on YouTube. Kathmandu (1400m / 4,428 ft) Phakding (2652m / 8698 Ft) Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,283ft) Tengboche (3,870m / 12,684ft) Dingboche (4,400m / 14,435ft) Lobuche (4,900m / 16,076ft) Gorakshep (5180m / 16,994ft)

The Gokyo route to Everest base camp is the favourite base camp trek with all the team at Kandoo. Avoiding the crowds on the main route and including the ascent of Gokyo Ri and the crossing of the Cho La pass both of which are really fantastic. The trek starts with a rollercoaster flight into Lukla: make sure you sit on the left for your first great views of the Everest region. The landing at Lukla can be a white knuckle affair but the pilots are incredibly skilful dropping the plane down onto a short steep runway. Once your crew is assembled you start your trek passing through Sherpa villages with well cultivated fields. The trail is generally downhill for the first day but day two starts with a long hard climb to Namche, a surprisingly large town where you can enjoy an Illy coffee and even a chocolate brownie! After Namche you divert from the classic route heading up the Dudh Koshi valley through Dole and Machermo before finally reaching Gokyo.

There are 5 lakes here all of which are iridescent turquoise. Besides the lakes themselves the highlight of Gokyo is the ascent of Gokyo Ri, just behind the village which provides unbelievable views of Cho Oyu and Everest. From here the trek takes you down to Tragnag before crossing the Cho La pass, one of the three great passes in the Khumbu region. Dropping down from the pass you rejoin the main base camp route walking up to Gorak Shep.

You will visit base camp itself in the afternoon leaving the early morning session next day to climb Kala Pattar (5554m) for a breath-taking view of the highest mountain on Earth. Having climbed Kala Pattar you descend again to Dingboche and over the next two days retrace your steps to Lukla to relax and celebrate. Sleep at Everest Base Camp (Private Only) For all private trekkers we are able to arrange an overnight stay at Everest Base Camp during the main climbing season from March through May.

This is a very unique experience for trekkers as they get to join the campsite of an Everest expedition team and can walk all the way up to the crampon point on the Khumbu icefall. For more details, just contact one of our team! http://trekkersnepal.com/nepal/trekking/everest-region/gokyo-lake-everest-base-camp-trek Dear sir, Warm greetings from Nepal Trekkers Booking Treks and expedition pvt. Ltd.

Here I had send EBC + Gokyo lake trek itinerary Day 01–Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu I will welcome you at the Airport and you will then be ushered to the Hotel. I will explain briefly about the travel itinerary upon Airport arrival. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 02–Fly to Lukla and trek until Phakding (2610m) On the second morning, you will board a flight to the Lukla Airport, also commonly known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. It is a wonderful mountain flight and the flight itself can be no less than an adventure as the airport is enlisted as the most dangerous airport in the world, given the location, altitude and topography. In less than 30 minutes, you will reach Lukla while enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains during the flight. After landing at Lukla, you will take light breakfast and embark on the trek. In around 3 hours, you will reach Phakding village where you will be staying overnight at a guesthouse. Day 03–Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6 hrs On the third morning, we resume our trek and follow the trail along the Dudh Koshi River while ascending through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to the ultimate destination, that of popular village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche has remained a historic trading point for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche. Day 04– Rest day in Namche for acclimatization The fourth day of the trek will be spent in Namche itself for acclimatization purpose. As the altitude will now increase significantly, a day for acclimatization is paramount and strictly advisable for prospective trekkers. One can spend the day in Lukla visiting the local Bazaar of Namche or visiting the nearby Sherpa villages. Overnight stay at a guesthouse. Day 05- Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m) 5hrs After a day of acclimatization in Namche, we resume our trek and climb further uphill. The trek now gets difficult with increasing altitude and the trekkers are advised to go about the trek in a slow and mild manner. Plenty of hotels are found along the way and the tourists will have the opportunity to take a short break if they want. After almost five hours of trek we reach Tengboche. It is a village in the Khumbu region of Everest and is located at 3,867 meters. Tengboche is mostly popular for the important Buddhist monastery, Tengboche Monastery, which happens to be the largest Gompa in the entire Khumbu region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse. Day 06- Trek to Dingboche (4410m) 6hrs After having tea on the seventh day morning, we will resume our Everest Base Camp Trek. Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Nuptse and other Himalayas will play hide and seek as you climb along the trail. At some point the mountains will come quite close while at some other points they will appear farther away. Finally, after more than six hours of trek, we reach Dingboche, a small village in the Khumbu region that falls in Chukhung Valley. Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers who are headed to the Everest or who are returning from Everest. As there are plenty of hotels and guesthouses, the entire village rests heavily on tourism. Overnight stay at a guesthouse. Day 07- Trek to Lobuche (4940m) 5hrs On the ninth day of the trek, we reach further close to get that elusive glimpse of the Mount Everest as we continue uphill through the trail. Lobuche is the last settlement area before the Everest Base Camp and some old-fashioned guesthouses are available there. Many traders who come via Tibet also stay at Lobuche for the night before they resume their travel the next day. Overnight stay at a guesthouse. Day 08:- Trek to Everest Base Camp (5360m) and back to Gorak Shep (5164m) 6hrs p oint of the trek comes on day 10 as we head towards the Everest Base Camp located at almost 5400 meters of altitude. 3-4 hours trek from Lobuche is enough to take us to the EBC. Unfortunately, the actual positioning of the Everest is such that the actual summit is not quite visible from the Base Camp, though we get amazing glimpses of the peak. After spending some time at the EBC, we return to Gorak Shep where we will be staying overnight at a guesthouse. Day 09:- Trek to Kala Patthar (5545m) and trek to Zongla (4660m) 8hrs As Kala Patthar offers the best view of the entire Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks, we trek to Kala Patthar from Gorak Shep. It does not take much long till we reach Kala Patthar and behold the beauty and grandeur of the Everest. It is located at an altitude of 5545 meters and it is also the point from where the Everest expedition starts. After staying at Kala Patthar for some time and looking at the mountain summits, we start our return journey. We will reach Zongla . Overnight stay at a guesthouse. Day 10 :- cholla pass and trek to thanak this days need to walk early morning for 9 hrs . Day 11:- trek to Gokyo ( 4 hrs.) and after lunch go gokyo Ri for everest view . Day 12 :- trek down to dole (7 hrs ) overnight stay in hotel. Day 13:- trek to Namche bazzar via kamjuma (6 /7 hrs) Day 14 :- trek to Lukla (8 hrs.) Day 15 :- fly back to KTM at morning time and day time sightseeing , overnight stay in KTM hotel . Day 16 :- departure to airport on time
