MakerState STEM Summer Camp2 locations on Lower East Side!

MakerState’s STEM Summer Day Camp from June 29-Sep 2 (10 weeks) focuses on building creativity, problem solving, and social-emotional skills for kids ages 6-12 through hands-on projects in coding & game design, LEGO robotics, 3D design & printing, Minecraft engineering, moviemaking, rocket science, Oculus Rift virtual reality, and more.

Our locations include 14th St. & 1st Ave and Seward Park Co-op. Before/after camp care is available for a full day camp offering 8am-5pm. Your $100 off discount code plus $20 donation to your school’s PTA is STEM16 at www.maker-state.com.

Summer is a great time to get outside and experience our great New York City Parks. Here is a link to activities and free summer programs for children.

Check out Wildlife Conservation Society website. We visited one of the locations this year when we went to the Queens Zoo. This site has information about programs and different zoos and aquariums in the city.

Indoor Activities

PBS Kids has a website for children with all kinds of age appropriate activities.

The National Geographic site for children has lots of science activities.

Beam Center Summer Day Camps

9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with drop-off beginning at 8:00 AM and pick up until 5:30 PM.

Tuition is $600, or $575 per week if you sign up for multiple weeks.

Our faculty of artists, engineers, and craftspeople share their own practice with kids, from woodworking and electronics to moviemaking, digital media, and handcraft. It's an inclusive community of learning, doing, and making that encourages collaboration and experimentation.
