Dear Earth School Families,
As we close out 2021, we have a lot to be thankful for—a safe return to in-person learning, loving teachers, and the close-knit community that we have created. We as a community have risen to face the unique challenges of recent years, and together we continue to build the foundation for the next generation of The Earth School.
Though much has changed, our mission at the ESPA remains the same: to support children’s academic achievement and instill a love for the arts, sciences, music, athletics, and dance. Our core values are about celebrating diversity, appreciating our common humanity, and contributing to our community. We teach the peaceful resolution of conflicts and the preservation of the Earth’s resources. Our specialized curriculum focuses on social justice and integrates civil and LGBTQ rights. In short, The Earth School is a very special place.
So much of this has been made possible by community members like YOU. The Earth School Parents Association (ESPA) fundraises throughout the year and allocates resources so all children can benefit from arts and enrichment programming, regardless of their socio-economic background.
To continue to fund these programs, we ask our community to support our school by giving.
So far this year, the ESPA has fundraised and committed to pay for close to $40,000 of enrichments:
Extra enrichment classes—$8,000
Essential classroom supplies for our incredible teachers—$12,000
S.T.A.R. Program for Fifth Graders—$6,500
School field trips—$5,500
School picnic, Yearbook, Graduation, and other events—$9,000
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the ESPA and share this with family, friends, colleagues and employers. **Don’t forget to ask your employer if they offer corporate matching for donations! It could double your impact**
We appreciate anything you can give to partner with us. Whether you are able to make a donation of $5 or $500, or choose to give to the PA through your time and energy, we are so thankful for all you do!
