School Cellphone Policy

The Earth School Cellphone Policy, 2015-2016

The Earth School’s New Cellphone Policy is almost identical to the old one, which has worked well in that cellphone use rarely disrupts classroom learning. The Chancellor’s Regulations specify that the policy must be published to be sure that all parents and students, as age-appropriate, are aware of it.

1. Cellphones may be brought to school, but must be turned off and stored with classroom teacher during school hours.

2. Cellphones that are not stored with the teachers during the school hours will be taken and returned to the child’s parent.

3. Repeated (4 or more in one year) violations of the cellphone policy will result in the loss of the cellphone on school grounds privilege.
