Volunteers & friends

Here are just some of the ways in which volunteers support the Festival:

  • Promotion – distributing flyers and posters around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula; setting-up roadside signs just prior to the Festival (and taking down afterwards);
  • Preparing the Expo venue – laying cables, site numbers and carpet squares; setting-out trestle tables (and putting them away afterwards); setting-out display boards; putting up signage (and taking down afterwards)
  • The Expo – registering exhibitors and assisting with unloading; registering and displaying entries to the competition for the Drysdale Glass Art Awards; assisting at the Information table.

If you'd like to be a volunteer, please contact us at festivalofglassdrysdale@gmail.com.com and put 'Volunteering' in the subject header.

You may not see yourself as a Festival volunteer (yet!), but you'd like to know how the preparations for each year's Festival are going.

If so, please:

  • sign up for our Festival Friends Newsletter – an occasional online publication keeping you up-to-date with developments in and around the Festival of Glass.

If you'd like to receiver the newsletter, please send an e-mail to festivalofglassdrysdale@gmail.com.com and put 'Friends' Newsletter' in the subject header and we'll add your e-mail address to our mailing list.
