Glass Art Mentorship
Over several years, the Festival of Glass Inc. has collaborated with local secondary schools to select participants for its mentorship programme.
The specific design of the programme varies from year to year depending on the sponsorship available and based on a review of the previous year's programme.
The broad aims of the programme are to:
introduce secondary students on the Bellarine and surrounds to a range of ideas, techniques and processes used in glass work
assist them to exhibit and sell their work and to compete for Glass Art Awards
help participants build a professional resume
encourage participants to build a network of shared interests and mutual respect with other artists and students in the programme via the Young Arts Glass Group (established in 2019 by the Festival of Glass).
