FUNDING
Festival of Glass Inc. (FoG) is seeking funds to broaden community engagement in glass art by equipping a community hot glass art workspace in a building currently leased by FoG in the City of Greater Geelong Council Drysdale Community Hub.
FoG has collaborated with Council to plan the Glass Art Studio.
In the hot glass workspace glass will be melted, sculpted and blown using duel fuel (oxygen and natural gas) specialised hot glass torches.
Funds are currently being sought from a variety of sources to:
purchase Oxygen concentrators to supply oxygen to use with the hot glass torches owned by FoG.
install a dedicated gas line to connect to the hot glass torches to the existing natural gas supply.
install a ventilation system to use when the torches are in use to extract fumes to create a safe workspace.
DUAL FUEL (GAS & OXYGEN) TORCHES TO MELT GLASS
FUNDED BY FOG
OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS TO PROVIDE QUALITY OXYGEN TO THE TORCHES
NATURAL GAS CONNECTIONS TO PROVIDE SAFE, ECONOMICAL CONNECTION TO THE GAS
VENTALATION TO EXTRACT FUMES FROM THE WORKSPACE
