Exchange students experiences
Applications
After the student has been nominated, we will contact them by e-mail and send them the instructions for online application process.
For the application process, students need to upload the following documents on their application:
Official transcript of records
CV
Certificate of English Proficiency or copy of the IELTS/TOEFL score report (not needed from native English speakers)
A photo
Course information and preliminary course list will be send to the students by e-mail.
There is no need to send hard copies of the documents!
Language requirement
Because English is the language of instruction, it is essential that all participants are prepared to understand rapid, idiomatic English as spoken in lectures and group discussions. Students also are expected to be able to read English with ease and to express their thoughts clearly in spoken and written English.
The expected level of English proficiency is equivalent to IELTS 6.5 (total), TOEFL 87 (total) or CEFR B2.
Accommodation:
Exchange students apply for accommodation directly from the Mikkeli District Student Housing Ltd. (MOAS). Information on their apartments and application process can be found from their website: www.moas.fi/en. This information can also be found from our website for exchange students (Information on Aalto Mikkeli Campus | Aalto University) and it will be also send to the nominated students

Course offerings
Course list for exchange students
We organize our courses in intensive three weeks modules and in each module, the students are studying one course five days a week, three hours a day. All the course related work will be done during the module and there are no separate exam periods.
All the courses in our program are worth of 6 ECTS credits. There are 45 contact hours (including exams) and the calculated student working hours per course are 160 h.
