Notes:

1- The City of Menlo Park incorporated in 1927. Since then there has only been five city attorneys.

2- Mr. Jorgenson graduated from Stanford University Law School in 1950 and founded a Menlo Park legal firm bearing his name in 1960. Later that year, John Cosgrove joined the firm. In 1975, Marvin Siegel joined the firm and in 1978 Bill McClure joined the firm. The firm currently has approx. 12 attorneys. After retiring as City Attorney

in 1985, Mr. Jorgenson continued to practice law with the firm until he retired in 2007.

3- Mr. Cosgrove graduated from Stanford University Law School in 1960 and was a litigator with the law firm representing the City in numerous lawsuits over the years

until he took over as City Attorney in 1985. During his legal career he argued several cases before the California Supreme Court, including winning a landmark decision

in 1971 regarding the rights of young adult voters. He retired both as City Attorney and from the law firm in 1993.

4- Mr. McClure, a native of Menlo Park, received his law degree from the University of Santa Clara (with honors) in 1978. Appointed City Attorney on 09-07-93. He plans to retire in year 2020.
