Beltramo's

Giovanni "John" Beltramo arrived in the area from Italy in 1879. He established a residence in Menlo Park in 1882 and from that location he began his wholesale-retail wine business on Ringwood Ave, later moving to Glenwood Ave in Atherton. During prohibition he concentrated on his vineyard on Middlefield Rd. After prohibition was repealed, the current store was first occupied in 1935. After John Beltramo died in 1950, his 2 sons, Alexander and Louis, continued the business. They were followed by John R. and Daniel Beltramo, sons of Alexander.
