LINDA

Tests management software

Linda produces David type files (used by David and Emilie) in order to save time and avoid input errors in the process starting from the test files and leading to David and Emilie.

Linda handles standard input file formats up to 16 channels. Specific interfaces can be developed on demand to handle new file formats.

The striker, the input par and the ouput bar can be defined independently (diameter, length, speed of waves, density, gauge position, type of bridge, gauge factor). The total number of bars and strikers is not limited. Linda stores these data and makes them available to define the rig and to describe the channels.

It allows for data cutting (selection of the appropriate time interval), signal inversion, offset removal. The spectrum of the records can be displayed too.

In the case of non-linear sensors, Linda may use a linearisation file to convert the response of the sensor into a linear response. (We use this option in our lab to make a precise measurement of the striker speed with a non-linear displacement sensor.)

Linda calculates striker speed by optical barriers (double or triple) or by a displacement measurement channel.

It allows for a direct gauge amplifier calibration by use of a precisely calibrated external resistance bridge.

At the end of the process, it is possible to print a document giving lab rig description, sample description and test parameters. Linda saves these data and makes them available for a new test.

If you have purchased a license for Linda, first download  and run Matlab Runtime (MCRInstaller.exe).

Link to Matlab RunTime

Then download Linda.zip which contains all the needed files (including Linda 9.21  221117)

Extract these files in the same folder. Ask for the protection file by sending us a file named "Linda.cle".

To obtain "Linda.cle"  run "MakLindaCle.exe".

This version of LINDA is dimensioned to fit the full screen with a definition of 1024x768. It is then recommended to set the screen definition to those values to obtain a full screen view of David.

As “demonstration files” are written with the English separator (decimal point) it is necessary to set the “country parameters” on your computer to the English version or equivalent.
