সার্থক জনম মাগো আমারজন্মেছি এই দেশে,হয়েছি বড়- তোমার কোলে মাগোধূলো-কাঁদামাটি মেখে।
হাজারো মায়ার বাঁধনেবেঁধে রেখেছো- তুমি যে মাগো,শত জনম ধরে-তোমার আঁচলে বাঁধা থাকি যেন- গো।
পাল তুলে হাল ধরেগায় মাঝি গান,কী! অপরূপ শোভা তোমারভরে যায় প্রাণ।
মাঠে-ঘাটে বাজে রাখালের বাঁশিকৃষকের মুখে দেখি মধুর হাসি,সাগরের ঢেউ আর নদীর কলতানফুলের হাসিতে চলে কোকিলের গান।
শরতের নীলাকাশে ছুটে চলেসাদা মেঘের ভেলা,বক আর পানকৌড়ির দলনীড়ে ফিরে যে- সন্ধ্যাবেলা।
মাগো, ধন্য আমি- ধন্য মাগোচেয়ে দেখি যতদূর,এক জনমে মিটবে না আশাএ যে সীমাহীন সমুদ্দূর।
কী যে বলি ? মাগোকী করে ভুলি যে তোমায় !মরণের পরে, তোমার চরণ তলেদিও মাগো- ঠাঁই আমায়।
