RIP John Williams 1925 - 2017

It is with great sadness that we inform members that one of our long time members, John Williams, died on April 19th aged 92.At his 80th birthday, although John had been a member of VPCC for many years, he hadn't ridden his bike for about 7 years.  For his birthday he wanted to ride the Warburton Rail Trail the full distance return which is 80kms!

So - on a nice sunny day a few of us rode with John from Lilydale towards Warburton. 

Unbeknown to John, we had arranged for a cake to be provided half way along on the ride.  He thought that was fantastic and was very surprised.

Some great memories are had in our club and having John as a member is just one of them.
