More than 60 VPCC cyclists hit the road for a marathon three-day ride (Sept 22-24) to raise awareness & funds on behalf of Victoria Police Legacy last month.

The third annual Ride to the Wall charity bike ride saw participants embark from Ballarat and make their way through Cressy, Colac and cross by ferry to Sorrento before arriving at the Victoria Police Memorial for a remembrance service on Sunday, 24 September.

The crew clocked over 380 km as they were treated to stunning scenery and sunshine across the weekend.

All involved in the event commented that it was a great event. With particular thanks going to

the efforts of the Traffic Operations Group, the volunteer support group. The camaraderie among the riders, the fundraising efforts were successful and the hospitality of the local communities involved was tremendous.

The ride is going from strength-to-strength, with more riders and funds raised than ever before.

Since starting this event in 2015, the VPCC has raised around $50,000 for Police Legacy.

This year the team raised over $30,000. It’s a testament to the hard work of the team and the support felt across the policing family.

Introduced this year was the option for riders to take part in the final 100 km on the last day. After the event, many indicated they’ll be coming back for the full ride next year.
