About Greengates School

In short, we are 70 years old, located in NW of Mexico City, in a pleasant residential area some 35-45 minutes by taxi from downtown Mexico City.
We are a very busy British International school, on a single site, whose language of instruction is English. Well known in Mexico City as an academically intense school , most of our staff are UK nationals or UK-trained. Other staff typically come from around the world and, of course, Mexico.
Our school has about 1,200 students from kinder right up to U6th. The graduating class of 2020 has 52 students. Some 60% are overseas students with larger populations from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, Japan, the UK, the US, Spain and S. Korea. Between 50 to 55 nationalities are represented at any given time at Greengates School. A lot of our students are the children of the diplomatic community and families linked to multinational companies located here. We offer the IGCSE and IBDP programmes. Yearly exam pass rates in both the IGCSEs and IB have historically reached over 90% consistently. Admissions at Greengates School is selective.
All Greengates School students are enrolled in the full IB Diploma.
