Invitation
Dear Admission Officer,
On behalf of the American School of Tampico, and more specifically the Class of 2024 and 2025, it is my pleasure to invite you to ATS annual College Fair.
We appreciate the role you play in providing valuable information about educational opportunities for parents and students.

What We Will Provide
Our College Fair will be hosted on our campus. For each university in attendance, we will provide:
A table (approximately 1.5 m x 0.75 m) and a chair
Bottled water
Lunch
Wireless internet access
What You Should Bring
You are welcome to bring a sign or tablecloth for your table, and printed materials about your university’s programs.
You are also welcome to bring a laptop or other electronic device to display on your table. However, electrical outlets will probably not be available near your table (and we will not be able to relocate your table to accommodate electrical needs), so please charge your batteries in advance.
If you would like to bring “giveaway” items for our students, you are welcome to do so. Items such as pens, pencils, post-it notes, bags, pennants, small gadgets, etc. are absolutely welcome.
Workshops
We are looking for volunteers to conduct approximately 30-minute workshops for students during the period immediately preceding and the period after the fair. Student interest will determine which workshops are running.
If you are interested in helping us by offering one of these workshops, there is a place on the registration form for you to indicate which topics are of the greatest interest to you. You will be notified by late August if you are selected to present a workshop.
Student hosts will meet presenters at their tables, escort them to classrooms for workshops, and introduce them at the beginning of the workshop. They will also escort presenters back to the college fair after the workshops end.

Sending Materials in Advance
You are welcome to package any materials that you wish to distribute at the fair and ship them to us in advance. Any expense for shipping materials should be covered in advance by the institution. We will store the materials for you and place them on your table so that they will be waiting for you when you arrive.

We strongly recommend sending boxes by UPS, Federal Express, or DHL, as the Mexican mail system is not particularly reliable and materials may not reach us in time. On occasion we have had packages arrive with an additional charge upon delivery. If this happens we will contact you about it; in order to arrive at a solution.
About Tampico
Tampico is a city located in the Gulf of Mexico. If you will be spending the weekend, you may want to choose a beachfront location. Our hotels may not be luxurious, but the beach is quite enjoyable.
If you choose to stay in the city, you will find that most restaurants or other sites are 10 to 15 minutes away.
