ASFM College Fair 2024
Fair Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2024
Fair Schedule: 10:00 - 4:00 PM
PLEASE REFER TO THE MEXICO COLLEGE FAIR TOUR HOME PAGE FOR MORE INFO ABOUT TIMES AND DATES FOR ALL FAIRS.
About Our School
10th, 11th, and 12th grade students (including a senior class of approximately 160) will participate in the college fair. Select 9th grade students may also participate. Students’ parents will also be invited and encouraged to attend.
Over the past ten years we have seen a sustained interest in exploring higher education options abroad. Statistics vary from year to year, but nearly all of our students attend four-year colleges in the fall immediately following graduation. We generally anticipate that 45% of our graduating class will attend universities outside Mexico, and the remaining 55% attend universities here in Mexico for at least the first year. Although we do not keep statistics on it, many of our students who attend universities in Mexico tell us that they plan to participate in study abroad or exchange programs, or transfer to universities abroad later on.

WHAT WILL WE PROVIDE
Our College Fair will be hosted on our campus. For each university in attendance, we will provide:
A table (approximately 1.5* m x 0.75 m) with a tablecloth and a chair
A sign with your school’s name
Bottled water and a little snack to keep you going during the fair
Lunch
Wireless internet access
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
You are welcome to bring a sign or tablecloth for your table, and printed materials about your university’s programs. However, floor displays will be strictly prohibited for all universities. The rule is - if it fits on your table, you are welcome to have it. If not, please don't put it out. Thank you for your understanding of our desire to conserve space and ensure that all universities have equal opportunity to attract students to their tables at the fair.
You are also welcome to bring a laptop or other electronic device to display on your table. However, electrical outlets will probably not be available near your table (and we will not be able to relocate your table to accommodate electrical needs), so please charge your batteries in advance.
If you would like to bring “giveaway” items for our students, you are welcome to do so. Items such as pens, pencils, post-it notes, bags, pennants, small gadgets, etc. are absolutely welcome.
SENDING MATERIALS IN ADVANCE
You are welcome to package any materials that you wish to distribute at the fair and ship them to us in advance. Any expense for shipping materials should be covered in advance by the institution. We will store the materials for you and place them on your table so that they will be waiting for you when you arrive. However, we are also making great efforts to be a “green” campus, so we would appreciate it if you would plan on taking all of your materials with you after the fair (you may leave one copy for the counseling office if you like). We will make recycling bins available.
