Ridgeleigh Community Association to Continue Tree Program in 2015

Post date: Feb 25, 2015 1:22:42 AM

In 2015 the Ridgeleigh Community continues its programs to increase the tree canopy in Ridgeleigh. Trees create healthier and more attractive neighborhoods. Trees increase property values, cool our homes, reduce street noise, enhance walkability, clean the air, and filter and absorb rain water runoff. These benefits contribute to the overall health of our community, local streams, and the Chesapeake Bay.

This project is a partnership between the Ridgeleigh Community Association and Bluewater Baltimore (BWB), an environmental non-profit organization. The purpose is to replenish the large shade trees which have been lost in the neighborhood over recent decades.
