Several local community groups have written a letter to the Baltimore County Director of Recreation and Parks, Barry Williams, in order to propose a new dog park. The proposed dog park would be located at the site of the former Loch Raven Elementary School. The Ridgeleigh Community Association has joined the Associates of Loch Raven Village, Knettishall Community Association, Greater Loch Raven Recreation Council, and the Loch Raven Dog Park Committee in supporting the park which would be located in a vacant area of the property next to Lowes. County Councilman David Marks supports the project which is projected to cost around $8,000. According to Wade Barnes of Loch Raven Village, the Committee plans to request donations from area businesses for funding if it is finally approved by County officials.
