Healthier Together
The Young Women's Outreach Project are working with the NHS to promote their new Healthier Together website and app which was developed locally and provides consistent, accurate health and well-being advice for parents/carers and young people all in one place.
We know that there is so much information available from well meaning friends and family, or on websites and social media, that it can be difficult to work out what we can trust and what we can’t. We know that it can be difficult for parents/carers and young people to decide when someone needs to see a Doctor, or if there is something we can do to look after them, our ourselves at home. We also know that it can be difficult to work out what is making someone feel poorly and looking after someone who isn’t well, or if we aren’t well ourselves, can be really stressful.
Healthier Together is an NHS resource and can be trusted. It can help you make an informed choice about where to go for healthcare advice, whether that be your GP or Walk In Centre, local pharmacy or even A&E. There is lots of up to date, reliable information for babies and children, but also so brilliant resources for teenagers to find out about issues that are relevant to them.
