In December 2022, The Young Women's Outreach Project took part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge for the first time and we exceeded our target!

We raised £5298.75 including Gift Aid which is fantastic. Thank you to all of our supporters, new and old, who helped us achieve this goal.

Christmas Challenge Information

Through the Christmas Challenge we aim to raise £4,800 for our Empower Her project. This project will provide specialist Youth Work support to young women and young mothers who are living with single or complex issues in their lives. The YWOP is led by women, for young women, providing a safe and nurturing space with practical and emotional support to build on knowledge, skills, strengths and hopes.

We have secured £2,400 in Champion Funds and Pledges through the Women and Girls Match Fund which is a wonderful start to our first ever campaign. Our task now is to raise the remaining £2,400 in online donations so we can reach our target, and unlock the match funding.

Empower Her Donation Page

Every £1 donation made has twice the impact as it is match funded by the Women and Girls Match Fund.

We know that this year is difficult for people with the cost of living crisis, inflation, tax rises, recession and more austerity on its way, and we thank you for every penny donated to support our vital work.

Your donation will enable us to provide 2 groups a week for a full academic year. Young women who attend Empower Her will:

• Build Capabilities

• Strengthen belief in their own abilities

• Ensure individual growth in self worth and confidence

• Know their rights and opportunities

• Develop positive relationships
