Light-Up Bulldog
A desk decoration that syncs up to the Gonzaga Christmas Tree(s)
The Story Behind the Project
The Christmas Tree Ornaments have a secret mode named after our university president that cause them to go crazy for a few seconds. This year, when we handed out the mini Christmas trees around campus, the president finally discovered his secret mode, and to my great joy used it frequently. My department head asked if I could make a version of the mini trees that was a bulldog (our mascot) so he could give it to the president for the primary use of letting him trigger his secret mode on it. And this is what I came up with!
It took inspiration from the light-up-face lamp, with the main difference (aside from being wifi-enabled) being the plywood backing attatched to the engraving, which I think gives it a nice professional touch.
