If you have an interest acting as net control for the Fri or Sat net please let me know and I will arrange for you to host a net.

I would like to form a group of members to discuss our plans for the next 12 months. If interested let me know.

As always we are always looking for new member to join our group.

TRAINING

Review FEMA ICS Training recommendations on the Web Site under TRAINING.

Review the RBERS ICS 213 form under FILES on the Web Site.

If you have not filled out the DSW insurance form I encourage you to do so.

LOCAL ORGANIZATION MEETINGS:

RB CERT

THE RB CERT meeting was on June 30.

Roger Frauman gave a presentation on Disaster Preparedness based on his FEMA experience.

The RB CERT Team Lead has stepped down and they are looking for a new Lead. In the mean time we have no scheduled meeting.

When scheduled, CERT meetings are held at the Swim and Tennis Club, at 7PM in the Ceramics Room.

RED CROSS MEETING

Red Cross meeting has been rescheduled to 7/12. The Red Cross net is every Tue night at 8PM on the 147.195 (+) 114.8 RACES Repeater.

Guest check ins are first followed by member check ins by district.

June 29th – San Diego International Triathlon

RACES

Richard Marzec, a supervisor at Campo Border Patrol Station, discussed efforts made to utilize RACES into the first responder community. Tony Sawyer gave and update on Mission Manger being changed from free to fee based with charges for number of active member. Rather expensive. Some may have to drop the program.

PALAMOR ARC

Discussed the field day event and SANDARC policy and review of their records. There was a presentation on T-Hunting and equipment necessary for a local and county wide T-Hunts.

ESCONDIDO EARS

EARS has a new meeting location. 900 Canterbury Pl., Suite 300, Escondido, CA 92025. Across from the MB Dealer. Next meeting is Aug 14th. Arrive before 7PM as door has to be maned.

LICENSE TESTING

We will be conducting a testing session on 7/19 prior to our PAPA System lunch meeting. Check the ARRL website for further information or contact me at PAPATESTING@LIVE.COM. The Technician Test will be using the new Question Poll and Test Questions that went into effect on July 1st 2014..

Every last Sat of the month there is a testing session in Escondido held by Harry W6YOO.

PRESENTATION

Erik showed us his 15 watt portable solar panel. He also had a recording of the ISS Space Station during a pass over San Diego during Field Day.

Steve and Erik also had pictures of Steve's new antenna tower installation.
