Painting Weights on Nonlinear Deformers
Painting weights on a squash deformer was not working properly and the wrong verts were getting weighted - Maya 2014. Seems to be a bug.
duplicate your non-deformed sphere, set the sine-wave one as a blendshape, then paint the blendshape weight (Matt Estela)
This worked!!
Wrap Deformer Not Working Once Input Mesh is Smoothed
Problem - rigging a belt which is attached to the main geometry using a wrapped nurbs surface. But when I apply polySmooth to the main surface, my wrap no longer works.
One solution anyways - You smooth the 'geoBase' as well, and then connect the polySmooth divisions from your geo to your geoBase.
