Taken on 5 Aug 1917 this shows the positions of "A" and "B" battalions' derelict tanks NW of Clapham junction; tanks are clearer on higher resolution photo that the author has seen.

All tanks had been lost on 31 July 1917.

Identity of tanks is not certain but is, in the Authors opinion the most probable interpretation of the evidence. Other interpretations are possible.

The map in PRO 95-109 which shows the position of "A" battalion's derelicts is obviously incorrect; it indicates A26 and A27 are further to the North.

A22 is believed to be just off the Photograph to the north East. B52 is believed to be just off the southern edge of the photograph.
