ISP Options (independent Study Project) 5% of final mark

For your independent Assignment, you may choose from the following options:

A Do a Science fair project. Recommended option for 9AP Students Details Science Fair Information help choosing an option 9AP Science fair will be Dec 7 periods 1 and 2

If you are not at all interested in taking part in the science fair you can choose one of the other options

B Science in The News Read, highlight (the main points) and summarize (in your own words) 5-10 science related articles dated Jun 2015 or later Science in the News

C Make a science presentation to a gr1-9 class. 30 min for 1 student, 45 min for 2 students 1.0h for 3 students and 80 min for 4 students.

The teacher present must complete an evaluation form which is available from Ms. Kauffman..

D Listen to and summarize in your own words, 6 topics selected from 2-3 episodes from Quirks and Quarks (at least 2 pages double spaced) and briefly present 2 of these to the class. Quirks and Quarks. Canada's Science Radio Show

E Read and summarize all or a portion (200 pages at least) of a Science related book. The summary must be four pages double spaced. You must include at least one rough draft for full marks,Here are some suggestions.
