Olive Egger

Olive Eggers are not a pure bred chicken but instead a cross between a dark brown egg laying breed and a blue egg laying breed, resulting in the olive egg color.  They have a delightful, small feathered crest (signature of the blue colored egg layer breed in the cross) and large single comb. They are solid egg layers (up to 260/year) of large eggs, varying in the olive tint*. If you’re looking for some color diversity in your egg carton, these hens are a great addition to you flock!

*approx 5% of Olive Eggers will lay a brown egg instead of green
