For traveling to Costa Rica and working at the animal rescue center, you will need the following immunizations:

Typhoid

Hepatitis A and B

MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella

Influenza

Tetanus

Rabies

*If you did not receive a tetanus shot as a child, you will need the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.

Vaccines should be received at least 6 weeks before travel, to ensure that the immunization is in full effect and to allow time for a second and third dose of those that require more than one dose.
