Tips and things you should know about Sc2gears

    1. In order to auto-save replays, display Map view charts, launch StarCraft II etc. ensure folders are set correctly.

    2. Yes, you can change how auto-saved replays are named. Edit the Replay auto-save name template.

    3. By default players are listed as they appear in the replays. You can put your name to the first place if you add your name to the Favored player list.

    4. By default real time and real APM values are displayed and used which differ from values displayed in StarCraft II. You can switch back to game time and game APM if you wish.

    5. Sc2gears can automatically store ALL your replays securely online if you have an Sc2gears Database account.

    6. You can run a diagnostic test to see if your settings are correct.

    8. Limitation: Sc2gears operates on replays. Replays contain limited amount of information which sometimes may differ from the actual game (for example more train actions than units actually trained).

    1. If you associate *.SC2Replay files with Sc2gears.exe, they will be opened in Sc2gears if you double click on them.

    2. Use CTRL+number hotkeys to fast switch between charts.

    3. Tables are sorted by up to 3 columns. 2nd and 3rd sort columns will be the previous sort columns.

    4. You can add a shortcut to Sc2gears.exe in your Startup menu and set Sc2gears to start minimized to tray.

    5. You can export the data of any table in Sc2gears, just press CTRL+C to copy the selected table rows to clipboard.

    6. You can pass any SC2 replays, Sc2gears replay lists and Sc2gears replay sources to Sc2gears.exe, and all will be opened.

    7. Sc2gears replay lists are standard CVS files so you can open them with Excel for example for further processing.

    8. You can set the start folder when opening replays in the Folder settings.

    9. You can narrow a search result by refining the search terms and perform the search again or set the results as source and define new filters.

    20. In the Results tab of Replay searches you can press ENTER or SHIFT+ENTER to open the selected replays for analysis.

    21. In the Hotkeys chart of Replay analyzer move your mouse over the assigned hotkey numbers to see what units the player assigned to that group.

    22. Every chart can be zoomed in the Replay analyzer. If a chart is zoomed, you can simply drag it to scroll (or traditionally use the scroll bar).

    23. You can disable the "Preload SC2 icons on startup" function for slightly faster startup and smaller initial memory usage.

    24. Press F6 to switch between the navigation tree and the active window.

    25. Press F8 and use the cursor keys to resize the navigation bar.

    29. Manual replay rename and the replay auto-save can group your files into sub-folders if you use backslash ("\") for specifying folders in the name template.

    30. You can enter a comma separated list of player names in the search filter to find replays that include all the listed players.

    31. You can export the actions of a replay as text. Simply select the actions you want to export and press CTRL+C to copy them to the clipboard.

    32. You can zoom the charts with CTRL+wheel scroll in the Replay analyzer.

    33. If you have multiple accounts or you used the name change feature of SC2, you can list your names as aliases and statistics will be summarized.

    34. You can list map name aliases to display the name you wish and to summarize statistics for them (for example localized map names).

    55. You can view and edit private replay data directly from Sc2gears on the "Private data" tab of the Replay Analyzer if you have a valid Authorization key.
