AUSTRALIAN PRINT WORKSHOP ARTIST'S SHOWCASE

Jenny has been invited to showcase a selection of her artist's books, folios and prints in the APW's Artist's Showcase program. The work will be on display in the front window from 6 May to 6 June,

SEED

LISMORE REGIONAL GALLERY

Jenny's next solo show, 'Seed', will be exhibited at Lismore Regional Gallery in early October, 2021.

Part survey/part new work, the exhibition will the fifth and final show - in a series of exhibitions - in which Jenny has sought to highlight the importance of pollinating insects and birds and their essential contribution to plant reproduction.

Jenny views this final exhibition as an end product - which comes with the promise of a new beginning - in much the same way as a seed does.

BORDER ART PRIZE 2020

Jenny’s print, ‘Out of kilter’ received third place in The Border Art Prize 2020. This year the online exhibition received 390 entries. The judge, Naomi Sands, Director of the Grafton Regional Gallery commented, ‘This delightful print pays homage to the profound beauty in nature. Its strong composition and striking use of colour and layers takes you on an enchanting journey’.

YORK BOTANIC ART PRIZE 2020

Jenny’s submission to the inaugural York Botanic Art Prize 2020 has been shortlisted from a pool of over 220 entries. As a finalist, Jenny will create a new artwork which relates to a specific species of the flora of Western Australia. The finalists’ artworks will be exhibited at Gallery 152, York, Western Australia from 31 October to 3 January, 2021.

PRINT POT PAINT

Jenny will be exhibiting work at the Kyogle Roxy Gallery with Deborah Brown, Rodney Brown and Wendy Cain in a group exhibition titled ‘Print Paint Pot’. The show will feature a diverse range of artwork, including paintings, prints, ceramics and a selection of mixed media collaborative works. The show will run from 2 September to 4 October 2020.

B L O O M

PG PRINTMAKER GALLERY - FITZROY, MELBOURNE

7 November -21 November, 2019

The work in the exhibition, Bloom, celebrates both the alluring beauty of flowers and the important symbiotic relationship between pollinators and flowering plants, in an attempt to bring attention to a disturbing decline in insect numbers.

Bloom is the forth show in a series of exhibitions in which Jenny has sought to highlight the importance of the pollinating insects and birds and their essential contribution to plant reproduction. (Previous exhibitions concerned with pollination were: ‘Array’ (2014), ‘Folly’ (2015), ‘Pollinate’ (2018). In late 2021 Jenny will present the final show in this series, titled Seed, which will be exhibited at the Lismore Regional Gallery, NSW.

PARLIAMENT HOUSE COLLECTION - CANBERRA

Two of Jenny's prints have recently been acquired by Parliament House, Canberra, for their art collection.

The acquired prints are to be included in the upcoming exhibition, Imprint: A survey of the Print Council of Australia, which will be on show at Parliament House, Canberra from March to May, 2019.

FRIDGE MAGNET

Jenny's linocut, 'Bird pollinator: honeyeater' was selected to be made into a fridge magnet, to be sold in the Canberra Parliament House gift shop.

The same image was also featured on the 'Program of Events, Autumn, 2019' brochure.
